Verrassend dat een variant van een bestaand spel de prijs nog weet te winnen. In een bizarre strijd ging Ticket to Ride: Europe onverwachts alle koplopers voorbij. Antiquity had de meeste eerste plaatsen, maar te weinig support bij de andere juryleden. Shadows over Camelot leek de strijd te gaan winnen. War of the Ring was de onbetwiste winnaar van de 2-speler categorie. Verrassend, omdat het spel volgens de uitgever niet specifiek voor twee spelers is. Ik had een overwinning van Dungeon Twister verwacht.
